In the scan screen as shown above, there are a number of settings which can be set to account for different environments, objects and lighting conditions.

Auto : This is a feature which is similar to the Auto setting on a Digital Camera, When scanning in this mode, the scanner will perform an initial scan to obtain environmental conditions and pre-set the best exposure time, ISO and motor speed. The second scan will automatically begin after the initial scan.
Note: these settings will be stored in
Custom for the next scans performed.

Default : This is the most recommended option to initially get a better understanding of how the different settings affect a scan and is a pre-set for all scans modes.
Note: Custom settings can only be set when in default mode.

Fast : This is the fast scan mode which can generate a point cloud containing up to 1 million points. Scan time is approximately 12s

Detail : This is the high resolution scan mode which can generate a point cloud containing up to 8 million points. Scan time is approximately 2 minutes.

Custom : This will display the custom settings window which allows you to adjust the ISO, Exposure time, motor speed and colour space conversion settings.

Happy Scanning!
